In fact, Emilia-Romagna will be the protagonist of the 2024 edition of the Tour, with the three stages Florence-Rimini, Cesenatico-Bologna, and Piacenza-Turin. In all, over 600 kilometres will be running in Italy, from Piazzale Michelangelo, the heart of Florence, to Turin, the first capital of Italy, crossing Emilia-Romagna and the Via Emilia, the ancient consular road that runs through the region from Rimini to Piacenza. A tribute to Italy in the footsteps of the myth of Bartali, Pantani and Coppi, on the centenary of the first Italian winner of the Tour in 1924 with Ottavio Bottecchia, the first Italian to wear the yellow jersey.
On 29 June, the yellow caravan will set off from Florence, to cover 205 km, passing through the Apennines, Valmarecchia upto San Marino and reach the finish line by the sea in Rimini. The race will continue with the other two Italian stages, Cesenatico-Bologna on 30 June and Piacenza-Turin the following day.
An extraordinary sporting event that is expected to have over 730,000 spectators only in Emilia-Romagna and television coverage, much of it live, in 200 countries, representing the third most-watched sporting event in the world.
Many are the initiatives carried out in the single territories, collateral to the Tour: from the attractiveness of the territories themselves to the promotion of cycling and mobility on two wheels up to the involvement of young people and schools.
The date for the arrival of the first Grande Boucle stage is scheduled for 29 June, on the Lungomare Giuseppe Di Vittorio, in the section between Piazzale Gondar and Piazzale Benedetto Croce. The arrival of the yellow advertising caravan is scheduled around 4 pm, followed by the arrival of the race lead around 5.30 pm.
The Notte Rosa is back, dressing pink the whole of Romagna for three days.
The 'New Year's Eve' of the summer, the great celebration of the Riviera, reaches its nineteenth edition. In the year tha celebrates the 70th anniversary of 'Romagna Mia', a pillar in the history of Italian and Romagna music, an emblem of the combination of music and dance, live erformances and flash mobs, the Pink Night will focus on the celebration of Liscio, the ballroom dancing, its protagonists and its orchestras.

Simone Massi, resistant drawer and animator
Simone Massi is considered one of the greatest animators at international level today. Born in 1970, he draws exclusively by hand with an original technique of oil pastels spread on paper and then scratched with drypoint and other engraving tools, where dark black and white are the predominant colours and weave a fluid and contemplative movement. His animation is pure poetry with which he narrates a world made of clouds and hands, lyricism and resistance, love of nature and the memory of rural civilisation.
With more than 800 awards won at major national and foreign festivals to his name, including a David di Donatello and four Nastri d'Argento, his films are considered to be some the most important in contemporary animation, so much so that in 2012, the Venice Film Festival asked him to create the festival's theme tune and posters until 2016. Cartoon Club dedicates an exhibition to him that spans his entire production with images from short films, illustrations, posters, and the animated feature 'Invelle', winner of the Carlo Lizzani Prize in the Orizzonti section at the 80th Venice International Film Festival (2023).

In the old town of Rimini, as a preview of the Notte Rosa, a great artist of the Italian music scene, capable of spanning the international universe, who makes eclecticism his matrix.

His ‘solo concert’, ranging from the great Italian singer-songwriters, to classical music, to pieces of his own composition, is an experience that crosses music, literature, and art in its broadest sense.
In concert, Morgan follows the whim of the moment, free to improvise monologues, without a precise set list. In his hands, music is a material to be moulded, shaped, constructed, modified at any moment.
Opening the evening will be the musical syncretism of Raffaello Bellavista, an artist in love with great Italian songwriting and beyond.

At dawn on Saturday 6 July, an enchanting concert on the beach at Rimini Terme in Miramare, for the traditional appointment with the public at sunrise by the sea. Every year repertoire and sounds are particularly in tune with the atmosphere of dawn.
This year, the music and violin of the resident artist FEDERICO MECOZZI will be the protagonists of the evocative concert.
Mecozzi is a multi-instrumentalist and composer, who for the past fifteen years he has been accompanying Ludovico Einaudi on long tours in the world's most prestigious theatres and arenas (Royal Albert Hall, Sydney Opera House, Carnegie Hall, Philharmonie Berlin to name but a few) as well as in the production of records as musician and musical assistant.
The artist offers a concert that spans several tracks from his two solo albums, ‘Awakening’ (2019) and ‘Inwards’ (2022), as well as some reinterpretations of universally significant composers.
In the original way that distinguishes his music, a constant interweaving of sounds that pass between contemporary classical, folk, electronic, and world music, where more relaxed and introspective moments alternate with dynamic crescendos and obstinate rhythms that recall at times ancient Northern European folk ballads, at other times Middle Eastern tribal movements, and at other times more modern danceable rhythms, he offers a refined and cultured declination of this Pink Night dedicated to dance.
On stage with him is the ensemble that has masterfully accompanied him for years:
Federico Mecozzi - violin, viola, piano Veronica Conti - cello Anselmo Pelliccioni - cello and double bass Massimo Marches - guitars and electronics Stefano Zambardino - keyboards and accordion Tommy Graziani - drums and percussion.
at 5.00 a.m.
This is the music festival, a thematic section of the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana, for new sounds, that this year will not only accompany the summer as per tradition, but will offer concerts and special events from July until late November, at Corte degli Agostiniani and Teatro Galli.
Ludovico Einaudi's music opens the festival.
The first stage runs through five appointments that illuminate a musical universe with a neo-classical minimalist imprint: Ludovico Einaudi (7 July), a tribute to Ryuichi Sakamoto (8 July), Hania Rani (9 July) and the OHT company, led by director Filippo Andreatta with two works from musical theatre (30 and 31 October). The second follows paths contaminated by multiple influences, resonating with the echoes of the first path, with both cultured and popular crossings, acoustic, electronic and vocal experimentation, lyricism and extreme sounds: Eklectric Duo (23 July), John De Leo and the Grande Abarasse Orchestra (3 September), Fabrizio Bosso with Andrea Lucchi, Julian Oliver Mazzariello and Rimini Classica (27 September), ending with the duo Teho Teardo and Blixa Bargeld (22 November).
at 9.30pm
The exhibition presents a selection of images from illustrations, comics, and cartoons that deal with the theme of war. These works are a powerful medium for exploring the complex dynamics of armed conflicts, capable of conveying deep emotions and encouraging reflections on human nature, the consequences of war and the possibility of building a better world, free from violence.
The exhibition aims to raise awareness of the need to promote a culture of peace through the visual arts and the search for peaceful solutions.
During the week of the Festival there will be a collection of animated films entitled 'for a World Free from Conflict' and a Round Table will allow artists and representatives of Associations active in conflict zones to discuss the theme 'The Power of Films and Comics in Promoting a Culture of Peace'.

It is “inside” this time that the provocation launched by the American author Cormac McCarthy resonates with the question we have chosen as the title of the 45th Rimini Meeting: “If we are not after the essence, then what are we after?” It is a question that engages our person in his totality, mobilizes our reason, moves our intelligence, encourages our relationships, a question that penetrates the arena of our life, opening a new perspective.
