Besides, since 28 November 2024, the website welcome-everybody.emiliaromagnaturismo.it/ has been active, offering useful information to tourists with special needs who wish to spend a holiday in one of the 14 coastal municipalities of Emilia-Romagna, officially promoting the Riviera Romagnola as an accessible and inclusive destination. The portal offers information on the services available in the various destinations (health facilities, sports, cultural and recreational activities) and on the characteristics of various facilities (hotels, campsites, museums, bathing establishments, restaurants). This information, often accompanied by detailed measurements and photographs, is provided directly by the participating tourism operators, which to date number 150, including accommodation businesses, campsites and tourist villages, bathing establishments, restaurants and museums.
In Rimini, there is also a project planned for the free beach in Piazzale Boscovich, which from 2025 will allow people with disabilities to enjoy a barrier-free beach and fully experience the bathing season according to their needs. Moreover, there are many bathing establishments that combine environmental sustainability and accessibility, guaranteeing disabled persons maximum freedom of movement on the beach and all-round inclusiveness. The flagship project is the Autismo Friendly Beach project, which allows people with autism to spend their seaside holidays peacefully.
