16th edition of the Festival of short films dedicated to Federico Fellini. A week of events in various places in the historic centre with the screenings of all the finalist short films in the 11 sections included.
As always, the “Un Felliniano nel mondo” - a Fellinian in the world - prize will be awarded to one of Fellini’s historical friends and collaborators. This year the choice has fallen on Giorgio Cavazzano, one of the most famous 'modern Disney' cartoonists working today (award ceremony 16 November at 9pm at the Cinema Fulgor), on the occasion of the Disney centenary,  and the “Burdlaz” prize for a young director for his first work inspired by Fellini.
Special events dedicated to cinema, meetings with directors and authors and screenings are scheduled with international guests.

The competition is divided into these sections

"Amarcort": Italian and foreign short films in the fiction and documentary genre with a maximum duration of 30 minutes;
"Aldina": short films of all genres made by students of film schools with a maximum duration of 20 minutes;
"Rex": Italian and foreign short films in the animation genre with a maximum duration of 20 minutes;
"Gironzalon": Italian and foreign short films belonging to the experimental genre with a maximum duration of 10 minutes;
"Calzinaz": documentaries and reportages with a maximum duration of 25 minutes;
"Gradisca": Italian and foreign short films of all genres with a maximum duration of 5 minutes;
"Cantarel": music video clips, with unpublished or non-copyrighted music with a maximum duration of 5 minutes; each author is responsible for the submitted work and the diffusion of copyrighted music.
"Miranda": animated short films for children with a maximum duration of 10 minutes;
"Fulgor": short films of all genres exclusively from Emilia-Romagna with a maximum duration of 20 minutes (authors from Emilia-Romagna will also automatically participate in this section of the competition, regardless of the category to which they enter their short film).
"Titta": Italian and foreign short films dedicated to the parent-child relationship with a maximum duration of 15 minutes;
"Volpina": Italian and foreign short films dedicated to dance and movement; shorts that use body language to express emotions or tell a story are eligible for this section. The maximum length is 15 minutes.
"Biscein": an extra section on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the film AMARCORD, it is dedicated to dialects. Italian works using dialogues that must be an expression of a linguistic, cultural or social minority, can participate in this section. The minority language or dialect must be present in at least 50% of dialogues.
