Rimini becomes the Italian capital of taste, with the Circo 8 e 1/2 dei Sapori, between chefs’ showcooking, gourmet street food, stellar ice-cream, and a farmer, craft and designer market. Massimo Bottura summons 12 national Michelin-starred chefs to meet 12 international young chefs, inside and outside a Fellini-inspired circus, for an event celebrating the protagonists and the wealth of such a unique territory. The event, which this year will have the Mediterranean as its main theme, is back in Marina Centro, where the market with the best PDO and PGI products of the Region, and Matrioska - the craft and designer lab store, with their “hand-made” creations - can be found in front of the big circus tent.
The foreign chefs who will join the chefs of CheftoChef in this ninth edition will be Jessica Rosval, Tomer Tal, Jeffrey Vella, Pavlos Kiriakis, Fatih Tutak, Mirali Dilbazi, George Papazacharias and Thanos Feskos, Florencia Montes. Among the Italians: Simone Tondo, Letizia Vella, Marco Ambrosino, Matteo Zonarelli, Giorgio Clementi, Virginia Cattaneo, Riccardo Forapani, Francesco Vincenzi, Matteo Salbaroli, Mattia Borroni, Michele Bacilieri, Mario Ferrara, Giovanni Cuocci, Raffaele Liuzzi, Isa Mazzocchi, Andrea Medici, Carlo Alberto Romagnoli.
Around the Circus 8 and ½ there will be special gourmet street food points that bring the best of artisan production to the roundabout in piazzale Fellini. Event within the event, the déjeuner sur l'herbe, Sunday 19 June (from 12.30am to 3.00pm) the gates of the Grand Hotel will open for a special picnic, organized in the gardens of the splendid Liberty Hotel dear to Fellini, by Claudio di Bernardo, chef of the Grand Hotel, Roberto Rinaldini, pastry chef, in collaboration with Massimo Bottura and the chefs of Al Meni (limited availability, cost € 55 upon reservation, info@grandhotelrimini.com)
