'Conciati per le Feste' comes to Rimini for New Year's Eve. There could not have been a better match for the most eagerly awaited evening of the year than that between Vinicio Capossela's new tour, which is a tribute to the revelry and tradition of the festive season, and the highlight of the longest New Year's Eve in the world in Rimini, which this year brings out the hat-trick and experiments with the new formula of a New Year's Eve that is over 50 hours long, starting on the evening of 29 December and continuing to the morning of 1 January.

It starts on Sunday 29 December with Irene Grandi, one of the best-loved artists of Italian pop music, with a unique concert during which she retraces her long, successful musical career that began in 1994.

It continues on Monday 30 December with a fascinating, humour-filled concert by Elio e le Storie Tese , the masters of parody, improvisation and interaction with the audience, and of limitless creativity, creating a journey through a timeless repertoire from "La Terra dei Cachi" to "Supergiovane", "Servi della Gleba" and hits that highlight the contradictions of our country.

And, in a relentless crescendo, we arrive at the most eagerly awaited moment, that of Tuesday 31 December with Vinicio Capossela and his vast, rich repertoire of songs that create space for the soul of the party, which for two decades have only come to life on stage and in the unique, magical dimension of live concerts. An overflowing show, honed over years of holiday concert practice, perfect for Rimini's choral toast to the New Year, culminating with the double performance of the Fire at the Castle in Piazza dei Sogni.

An extremely long party, from 29 December to the morning of 1 January, filled with great artists, exhibitions, open museums, installations and Christmas lights, all culminating in the 31 December programme with seven simultaneous parties in one night. In addition to the concert by Vinicio Capossela - in Malatesta square - New Year's Eve offers shows, DJ sets, concerts, disco parties, Latin dancing and jazz, classical and rock notes for a widespread musical journey through the city's main sites that will see Cavour Square, Teatro Galli, the City Museum, the new wing of the Museum, the Domus del Chirurgo and Teatro degli Atti transformed into extraordinary stages and dance floors for the night of 31 December. And after the clocks chime in the New Year, all eyes will be raised for the Fire at the Castle show in Piazza Malatesta, an extraordinary moment of magic and dreams that will await the public for two different performances.

A long programme of events that officially kicked off with the Christmas Lights Switch On on Saturday 23 November and continues with 150 events that will accompany Rimini's citizens and guests right up to Epiphany.

31 December: 7 festivities in one night
7 festivities in 7 squares and spaces that come together to embrace Piazza Malatesta where, amidst cascades of fireworks and colours, the extraordinary spectacle of the Castle fire will take centre stage, which will also be the exceptional backdrop to Vinicio Capossela's concert with his 'Conciati per le Feste’, a blend of music storytelling and theatricality in a huge celebration that combines reworkings of standard Christmas songs with original compositions and unique rewrites. The concert bounces from irony to moments of festive lightness and more reflective pieces, bringing to the stage a musical collection enriched by so many varied influences, ranging from Italian-American swing to the spirit of German Schützenfest traditions to rock ballads, mambo and Christmas jingles. And after the concert, deejay sets from Riviera venues will get the square dancing.

Piazza Cavour will host the unmissable appointment with RDS 100% GRANDI SUCCESSI led by Roberta Lanfranchi, the station's beloved voice, and by Discoradio, the RDS group's broadcaster that proposes the most rhythmic hits from the 1990s to the present day, and that on New Year's Eve will get the public dancing with all the energy of the Discoradio Party with Matteo Epis, Valentina Guidi and Edo Munari. Alongside RDS, the Paradiso Reunion team will come direct from dance floors all over Italy with Late Night Grooves, revisiting the most unforgettable hits of the last 30 years in a modern key, and with a transversal audience of all ages. DJ sets will be led by the 3 official DJs, Gianni Morri, Max Padovani and PaoloNhe, alongside an exceptional performer: violinist Mark Lanzetta, star of the world presentation of the formula one championship for the Ferrari team.

For one night, the Ressi Room at Teatro Galli will be transformed into the Rimini Jazz Club All Swing Stars, a jazz club in perfect Cotton Club style for an evening of swing and dance organised by the Rimini Jazz Club and with Lindy Hop dancers who will bring the room to fever pitch to the rhythm of the band, with their spectacular, enthralling performances, taking the public straight into the heart of that roaring era, for an evening of non-stop music alternating between live music and DJ sets 8from 10 p.m.). At Teatro degli Atti, celebrations will involve 'Panamericana', a folklore journey from the Central and South Caribbean with performances, rhythms and costumes. With 'caliente' entertainment by the Grancaribe group and DJ set with Rafael Nunez from 10 pm. Free admission.

A toast to art with classical music at the City Museum with the EoS String Quartet from Bach to Led Zeppelin is a must (booking on +39 0541.793851), while live music at the Domus del Chirurgo will enjoy acoustic notes with Back To The 90s. Partying will return to the garden of the City Museum's modern wing with a 'vertical' DJ set by the Acido Domingo team. Rimini Electrique, which will start at midnight with free admission, is entirely curated by the Acido Domingo team, a reality that has been organising events linked to promoting and enhancing the Rimini area for over three years now, with consolidated experience in the creation of initiatives that combine art, music and culture dedicated to the new generations.

At Palazzo del Fulgor, currently hosting the photographic exhibition dedicated to Marcello Mastroianni's 100th birthday, it will be possible to become the protagonist of a special photographic portrait by photographer Enrico De Luigi (from 10 p.m. to night, free admission).

The courtyard at the Gambalunga Library will also welcome people celebrating New Year with a site-specific installation and Elisabeth Ubbe's photo exhibition at the Galleria dell'Immagine.

The cultural New Year’s Eve continues until 2 am, with extraordinary night-time openings and open Museums, with free entrance from 9 pm at Palazzo del Fulgor, Teatro Galli, Domus and the City Museum.
