The new year will begin on the stage of the Galli Theatre with L'Elisir d'amore, a playful melodrama in two acts by Gaetano Donizetti to a libretto by Felice Romani and directed by Carlo Tedeschi with the Coro Lirico Città di Rimini Amintore Galli and the Orchestra Sinfonica delle Terre Verdiane. The opera stages the vicissitudes of peasant Nemorino, in love with Adina and unable to declare his love.
This is the 21st New Year's Opera performed by the Rimini Galli Choir, which celebrates its 30th anniversary of their career.
