Borgo Sant'Andrea

This "Borgo" is a district of Rimini with ancient origins.
You can get there by walking from Tre Martiri square through via Garibaldi (ex Contrada dei Magnani) up to Porta Montanara, Piazza Mazzini and the Church of San Gaudenzo, Rimini Patron Saint.
Since the 19th century it has always been a populated and lively borough thanks to the "Lavatoio" (the ancient wash basin, still existant today and restored), the "Foro Boario", the brick kiln "Fornace Fabbri", and several artisan workshops.
The first Festival of Borgo S.Andrea dates back to 14th October 2002, that is on the day of Rimini's patronal festival. Ever since, the Festival has been proposed every two years to promote ancient traditions.
