Dead Christ Supported by Angels, 1470-75 ca.
Pietà or Dead Christ Supported by Angels is a tempera-on-panel painting by the Italian Renaissance artist Giovanni Bellini, on show in the city museum of Rimini.
It is dated to around 1470, making it one of his early mature works.
It is undoubtedly one of the most extraordinary works of 15th-century Italian art, painted by Bellini for Sigismondo Malatesta (as testified by Vasari).
