The festival 'Eight Days a Week' brings together a series of events related to the music and the culture of the Beatles on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Sgt Pepper and Magical Mystery Tour.
An exhibition is opened since 18th March, 'Nothing is Real: Beatles memories', at Rimini Common Space, where rarities related to the production of the Beatles are on display: records, photos, articles, objects. Opening: 5 pm to 8 pm, with free admission.
Monday 27th March, at 9 pm at Cinema Tiberio, is scheduled a film screening: 'Eight Days a Week' by Ron Howard, winner of 'Best Music Film’ at the Grammy Awards. A film about four boys from Liverpool who have conquered the world.
The calendar continues with another film. Wednesday 29th March at 9 pm. In the Cloister of the San Giuliano Church will be screened 'The Back Beat' by Ian Softley, the story of the beginnings of the Beatles in Hamburg. The films are in Italian language. Entrance: € 5 to each film.
The highlight of the festival is Saturday 1st April with the arrival of Freda Kelly, the secretary of Beatles Fan Club in London during the entire career of the Beatles, along with a live concert at 9 pm by Rangzen (a Beatles cover band) of the two Beatles albums: Magical Mystery Tour and Yellow Submarine. Admission: € 15
The festival ends Sunday 2nd April with a public meeting with Freda Kelly at 8 pm c/o the Teatro Tiberio (free admission).
