Specially conceived for the Malatesta Music Festival is the program played by the musicians of the WunderKammer Orchestra directed by Carlo Tenan, a new and very current project which highlights how composers have always loved to GET from the sources of popular music, reworking and transforming them.
With the participation of mezzo-soprano Helen Walter, the concert takes inspiration from Beethoven, with the cycle of Contraddances and the the Volkslieder, where Beethoven creates original arrangements of European popular songs, and then moves on to unpublished twentieth-century repertoires.
A further relaunch for the concert is the publication of a volume created by the publisher Martinville, where the recording is placed on an innovative platform intended to create a dense network of iconographic and textual references.
