Shuttle mare

There is a new service in Rimini to reach the beach, it is a new mode of transport on demand: comfortable, safe, ecological and free: the Shuttlemare.

The service is active every day in the summer, whereas only on weekends and in conjunction with events starting from the Easter period.
From 8 April until 28 May 2023, only on Saturdays, Sundays and and holidays, from 9 am to 9 pm. From June 2nd the service is active every day.

It is by reservation only and has the aim of making it easier to reach the beach without having to waste time finding parking and without having to pay for parking. It is possible to get on at any local public transport stop located upstream of the railway and get off at any stop near the beach. The vehicles used are suitable for the transport of the disabled.

To access the service, the users must download the app My Start Romagna, and book their shuttle bus by following the simple instructions.

Using the Shotl app, you can easily set the starting and ending locations by scrolling on the map or typing the address and selecting it from the drop-down menu. Once the service is confirmed, the Shotl application indicates the departure stop, where the shuttle will arrive in a short time.

The estimated waiting time for the shuttle is about 15 minutes from the request, but it is possible to avoid waiting by booking the service in advance.

You can book your own shuttle for up to 5 passengers.

Using the application, it is also possible to check the position of the booked bus in real time.

The area served by ShuttleMare is delimited by the SS16 state road, the Marecchia river, Viale Siracusa and the sea.

The passengers collection points are at local public transport stops (geolocated on the application map), including those located near the main parking areas (Ponte di Tiberio, Caduti di Marzabotto, Settebello, Fantoni, Sindacati, Clementini, Garden, Chiabrera, Palacongressi).

The destinations start from the canal port to beach 100.

During the summer, the Train to the beach is also available, running every Saturday and Sunday in July and August and on August 15th (bank holiday), running every 30 minutes between 9 and 12am and from 3 to 6pm.
