Rimini is situated in a privileged position: it overlooks the Adriatic Sea and is a crossroads of important communication routes.
It has been the terminal point of an ancient roads since Roman times, when it became the meeting point of two of the most important thoroughfares of antiquity: the Via Flaminia, which linked it directly to Rome, and the Via Emilia - a 256-kilometre-long arterial road that remains the heart of Italy today, connecting Rimini to Milan.
The city can be easily reached by train or by plane thanks to an international airport.
