FICO Eataly World, the largest food products park in the world, opens in Bologna on 15th November 2017. The free-entry Park hosts the best Italian food and wine delis, from the field to the fork. Visitors from all over the world are expected who want to discover the wonderful Italian biodiversity, through miles of tracks full of events, marked by educational fun.
The rich programme will show the process of food manufacturing, from the land to the table, helped by the Italian Ambassadors of Taste.
WHAT’S FICO (ITALIAN FARMING FACTORY) EATALY WORLD
FICO will showcase the wonderful Italian biodiversity throughout 25 acres of land, 5 of which with open fields and barns, and 20 of which closed with:
40 factories
Over 40 food and drink points
Shops and farmers’ market
Areas dedicated to sport, kids, reading and facilities
6 learning environments, 6 large educational “carousels”, theatre and cinema
A modular congress centre that can host between 50 and 1000 people
A foundation with 4 universities
FICO, throughout miles of roads in 25 acres of land will offer many opportunities to learn while having fun:
Understand Italian farming: tour of 5 acres of fields and barns with more than 200 animals and 2000 cultivars.
Understand food processing: tour of the 40 farming factories to see how meat, fish, cheese, pasta, oil, sweet things and beer are manufactured.
Taste food: FICO’s food and drink points with 40 different offers.
Go on the “carousel”: tour of the 6 educational “carousels”, dedicated to fire, soil, sea, animals, wine and future.
Learn and have fun: 30 events and 50 courses every day in classrooms, theatre and learning environments.
Have the best meetings in the world: with a modular congress centre equipped to host between 50 and 1000 people.
Roads can be covered by foot or bike, alone or with the help of the Italian Ambassadors of taste: they are especially trained to explain Italian food products.
Rimini, with its tourist offer, will be at FICO too. In the 25 acres that FICO dedicates to Italian food’s biodiversity and excellence, an info desk dedicated to the largest accomodation platform in the Adriatic coast was paramount. The aim is to integrate FICO into Rimini’s tourist offer, by promoting, along with tour opportunities, events, food products packages and the many offers and services which make Rimini even nearer, full of opportunities, lively and attracting for everyone in the world. Located in the Central isle’s event area, the Rimini info desk has been organised with an agreement signed by the administrations of Rimini and Bologna and the foundation FICO last March. The aim of the agreement is to organise joint activities related to food, tourism, culture and – generally – environment and lifestyle, helping one another in terms of communication and visibility. The ultimate goal is to boost incoming tourism, particularly in terms of food and wine products, along the “Via Emilia”.
