The cinema with its stories and its authors can reveal a territory and its treasures in a unique way. In Emilia Romagna new cine-tourism itineraries have been proposed to lead travelers to evocative places or movie sets that have been important for the life and creative universe of an author, proposing the experiences lived through his eyes.
The routes are part of a large project which includes 11 itineraries to experience the places that have inspired cinematographic subjects or artistic creations of directors and authors.
The first three itineraries presented are: "The Lands of Don Camillo and Peppone" in the area between Reggio Emilia and Parma, the "Bologna of Pasolini", and "Fellini's Rimini " where" nothing is known, everything is imagined".
The itinerary that is dedicated to the director of the film '8½'and his city, Rimini, branches into three directions: the 'City of memory', the 'City of dreams' and the 'City of cinema'.
Each itinerary represents a part of Fellini's life.
The 'City of Memory', with 3 points of interest, the Houses, the Streets and Squares, the Schools, shows the places of the director's life, where he was born and where he grew up.
The 'City of the Dream', with the Palata, the Grand Hotel and the Fulgor cinema, shows the iconic places of the director, those that marked his adolescence and inspired his imagination.
Finally, the 'City of the Cinema', with places and works such as Borgo San Giuliano, il Libro dei Sogni, l'Anello Ritrovato, the Federico Fellini Study Center, the Grande Prua, that explain the theme of Fellini's works and creations.
The map wth the Fellini itinerary, with the indication of the places of interest, can be download here.
