The International Festival of animation, comics and games is back to Rimini from 9th to 17th July with films, concerts, meetings with authors, the exhibition-market Riminicomix, the Cosplay Convention, exhibitions and initiatives throughout July

Cartoon Club, the International Festival of Animation Cinema, Comics & Games, is back to Rimini in July. The clou of the event will be held in the week from 9th to 17th July, in Piazzale Fellini, Marina Centro. with a rich calendar of events: film showings, music, meetings with authors, workshops, exhibitions etc..

The highlight of the week is the four-days event, 14th to 17th July, with the exhibition fair Riminicomix and the Cosplay Convention, when Piazzale Fellini will be invaded with hundreds of young people wearing gaudy costumes inspired by comics characters and cartoons.

During the whole event there a series of cartoon exhibitions will be set up in various places in the city, such as the tribute to the Italian cartoonist Osvaldo Cavandoli, the creator of La Linea (The Line). On display there are original drawings by Cavandoli, photos, work materials (storyboard, sketches, memorabilia etc.) used in the construction of his cartoons, and a section with works that the author has given to friends and colleagues during his life.

As usual Cartoon Club organizes important contest and awards with international juries who will select the best short animation films, the non-fiction comics, the best cartoonists and animation schools. Awards ceremony on Sunday, July 17th.

The festival is a meeting place for all those who are keen of the world of cartoon, professionals and fans, in an event of entertainment for all ages.

The author of the Cartoon Club XXXII edition poster is Leo Ortolani, key authors of Italian comics and creator of Rat-Man.
