Rimini is increasingly accessible to the American and British markets, thanks to the new agreement between the Romagna airport and the British carrier, British Airways, which has announced three new connections between London's Heathrow airport and Rimini's Federico Fellini International Airport.
The ‘Fellini’ becomes the ‘gateway’ to Emilia-Romagna from the UK, USA and Canada, a great novelty in terms of internationalisation. Actually, Heathrow is the strategic gateway to Europe for tourists from the USA and Canada, a market that is very interested in the Art Cities of Emilia-Romagna, the Motor Valley, typical food and wine, and the charm of the historic villages and hinterland. It also offers the possibility of developing business traffic, thanks to the excellent connections at the English hub, for long-haul destinations, starting with New York, Boston, Chicago, Canada and many other connections around the world.
Flights will operate Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays, from 15 May to 27 September 2025, departing from London at 15.20 (Monday), 16.00 (Tuesday) and 15.45 (Saturday) and from Fellini at 19.40 (Monday), 20.15 (Tuesday) and 20.00 (Saturday).
Prices from £131. Tickets already available on the British Airways website.
British Airways' flights will join those of the low-cost company Easy Jet, which offer connections with London-Gatwick and Basel, with two flights a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, for both routes, and which will be operational from 16 April 2025 for the entire summer season (tickets have already been on sale since 19 November).
Finally, Rimini will host ‘Routes Europe’, the most important European air transport event from 18 to 20 May 2026, with managers from 300 international airports and representatives from 100 airlines.
