In 2025, the daily connection between Munich and the Romagna Riviera, operated by the German DB and Austrian ÖBB railways, will run daily from 17 April to 6 October, with new stops in Riccione and Cattolica, in addition to Bologna, Cesena and Rimini.
The connection will continue until 6 October, covering the autumn holidays of the Bavarians.
Passengers will find a new type of train waiting for them: the RailJet new generation train, made by Siemens, with wifi connection on board, a capacity of 532 seats and a maximum speed of 230 kilometres per hour. Each train has 430 seats in economy class, 86 in first class and 16 in business class. In the multifunctional carriage there are three seats for wheelchairs for the disabled with low-floor entrances, six bicycle racks and space for skis and snowboards. Finally, a restaurant and three snack areas with vending machines are available on board.
As regards timetables, the first RJ 83 train departs at 9.34 am from Munich, arriving in Cesena at 5.02 pm, then Rimini at 5.30 pm, Riccione and finally Cattolica at 6.16 pm. The first return from Romagna with RJ 82 (operating from 18 April) from Cattolica at 12.16 pm.
