Exhibitions

The exhibition is dedicated to one of the most ancient image production and reproduction techniques, wood engraving, which, between the XIX and the XX centuries, had its surge in England and Europe, along with the Liberty modern art language. In the exhibition, a selection of more than a hundred original engravings from the historical magazine “Xilografia”, in one of the editions still owned by the Lega di Faenza publishers. From the heroic images of Adolfo de Carolis, through the popular group of Romagna woodcutters Nonni, Barbieri, Moroni, Ugonia… to the masterpieces of Lorenzo Viani. Side events such as conferences with guided tours and educational workshops will be held during the period of the exhibition.

Open Workshops will be held on Sunday 12 and 26 November, 9 December
Woodblock printing and drawing and typography printing and drawing workshops
Admission for each workshop: € 6.
Woodcutting techniques for schools workshops and specific workshops for exhibition visitors will be held.
