Carnival returns to Rimini with the 24th edition of ColorCoriandolo, transforming the historic town centre into an open-air stage. Piazza Cavour will serve as the hub for an international experience, hosting performers from Italy, Argentina, Chile, and France for two afternoons dedicated to entertainment and community spirit. Organised by Made Officina Creativa, the event offers a journey through ancient and contemporary arts, providing families and visitors with a magical atmosphere of juggling, acrobatics, and music. It is a celebration of tradition featuring classic masks, confetti, and streamers throughout Rimini’s historic streets.
Sunday 15th February - The first afternoon of events begins with a travelling parade through the town centre. The day features a seven-piece marching band alongside several international performances. Highlights include a Chilean pole acrobat, a giant bubble theatre display by Argentinian artists, and a grand finale featuring luminous figures and "fire animals" that blend classic comedy with visual artistry.
Tuesday 17th February - The final day, Shrove Tuesday, focuses on animation and audience participation. Piazza Cavour will host a Radio Bruno station for music and "baby dance" sessions, followed by the antics of an eccentric French clown. The festivities will conclude with a spectacular "soap bubble storm" involving the entire square.
Throughout the Carnival period, a romantic and timeless symbol returns to set the scene: the enchanting French Carousel. With its magical wheel of lights, wooden horses, and vintage carriages, this traditional attraction continues to delight both children and adults alike. (30th January to 17th February).
