Rimini once again becomes the Italian capital of taste with Circus 8 and 1/2 of the flavors with chefs’ show cooking, gourmet street food, starred ice cream, farmers' products market, artisans and designers.
Great expectation for the arrival in Rimini of Massimo Bottura just back (for the second time, after 2016) on the top of the "World's 50 Best Restaurant" in the world..
Chef Massimo Bottura brings together starred chefs from the Emilia Romagna Region to meet young international chefs, inside and outside a Fellinian circus, for an event that celebrates the protagonists and the richness of a unique territory in the world.
With ‘Al Meni’, meaning "hands" - from the title of a poem by Tonino Guerra - signature products and cuisine will travel down the Via Emilia and gather in front of the Grand Hotel Rimini, backdrop to Fellini’s film Amarcord.
In front of the Circus, the market of excellences with the best PDO and PGI products of the Region and Matrioska, the lab store of creatives and designers with their creations distinguished by the "handmade" brand.
Slow Food Emilia Romagna returns and takes part in the event with laboratories of taste and dishes of the "Slow Food Alliance". Moreover personal shoppers, among which the cooks themselves, will guide the visitors to the acquaintance of the producers present in the food market with tasting conducted by experts of the association.
Many street food gourmet points will be around the Circus tent together with the ‘starry’ ice cream point, which brings together the creativity of the chefs with the knowledge of ice-cream makers of the Carpigiani Gelato University.
New entry in this fifth edition is Al Mèni Night Out: a circus of lights by the sea for the big Saturday night party with the chefs. The feast, based on music, cocktails, beach with Fellini's echoes in the background, will take place at the shores of the Bagno 17 in Rimini from 11 pm.
Event in the event, the déjeuner sur l'herbe, on Sunday June 24th (from 11.30am to 3pm) the gates of the Grand Hotel will open for a special picnic, organized in the gardens of the beautiful Liberty Hotel dear to Fellini. The brunch is curated by Claudio di Bernardo, chef at the Grand Hotel in Rimini, by Roberto Rinaldini, pastry chef, in collaboration with Massimo Bottura and the chefs of Al Meni.
