The season of events continues with exhibitions, guided tours, concerts, wellness, congress and a month of Christmas celebrations

A calendar of events from further in Autumn: if you are staying in Rimini during the following months you will never get bored. After the great events of the summer, the city proposes concerts, guided tours, exhibitions, wellness, expos and congress, festivals and markets.

Guided tour to the archaeological site of the Surgeon's House (Domus)
After 2000 years, the archaeological site of the Surgeon’s Domus has opened to the public. It has become famous in the world owing to its unique archaeological finds - one of the richest surgical and pharmaceutical equipment of the ancient times - now kept in the nearby City Museum where you can also admire works of art from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century.
Guided tours to the archaeological site are proposed every Sundayat 3.30 pm.
The visit is included in the Museum’s entrance ticket

Festival Francescano
New exhibition dedicated to St. Clare in the eighth centenary of her consecration.
Starting from the table of Gentile da Fabriano "Madonna and Child between St. Francis and St. Clare", a precious example of the International Gothic style in Italy, the exhibition follows Clarian spirituality as a thematic. The table, coming from the Malaspina Gallery of Pavia, is one of the rare works of the late '300 depicting St. Francis and St. Clare together.
The exhibition is part of Festival Francescano, taking place in Rimini on 28th - 29th - 30th September

Michel Butor - À propos de. Entre littérature et art, le paysage véritable.
Dedicated to Michel Butor: a project by Isabella Bordoni in collaboration with the Municipality of Rimini.
Three days of meetings and conversations with Michel Butor, French poet and contemporary writer in an open dialogue with scholars and students in Rimini.

A month of events and great celebrations at the beach and in the town centre on 31st December
From 1 December 2012 to 6 January 2013 all those who choose Rimini for their holidays will find something more: the world's longest New Year' s Eve. Every corner of the city is transformed into an open-air stage for a month of music, art, shows and concerts with national and international artists. Highlight, as usual, on December 31st with many New Year's widespread events, from the great concert in Piazzale Fellini, followed by the New Year celebrations in the historic center.

Ornella Vannoni in concert
On stage at the Novelli Theatre in Rimini is Ornella Vannoni, one of the main interpreters of the Italian music. In her latest tour "Piccole emozioni" she proposes a taste of her entire repertoire, jazz, pop, Latin-American and even more, presented in a basic way. In the performance Ornella Vannoni is accompanied by a trio of musicians.

Live concert by Vinicio Capossela
On stage at the Velvet Club is the Italian artist Vinicio Capossela. His new album "Repetiko Gymnastas" is a tribute to Greece, nowadays struggling with the economic crisis. Music "played in greek", for a debt towards the land that "gave the world civilization" and "one of the greatest urban music in the world: the rebetiko".
This is exactly the kind of music which is the last passion by Capossela. Rhythm born in Thessaloniki in the thirties, melted with the Hellenic tradition and the periods of Byzantine and Ottoman.

The Malatesta Castles – History, Art, Architecture
Permanent exhibition at Sismondo Castle
The permanent exhibition hosted in the beautiful setting of Castel Sismondo is dedicated to the numerous Castles spread on the territory between the region Romagna and Marche and it is equipped with multimedial instruments for study and analysis.
The intent is to enhance the inestimable heritage of palaces, castles and mansions built by the Signoria Malatesta in our province. On display there are two models - the former is dedicated to the location in the territory of the 25 castles, the latter showing how it would have been Castel Sismondo if its construction had been completed according to the original plans.

Rimini Antiqua – Antiques, Modern and Vintage Exchange Market
Held on the last Sunday of every month (except in July and August), the beautiful historic centre of Rimini hosts the Rimini Antiqua market. Not only valuable antiques, but also antiques of the modern era as well as vintage curiosities, ceramics, furniture, glass and silverware as well as jewellery are proudly displayed. Organised by the Rimini Art association, this market is sure to display only original antiques!

National Motor-cycle Museum and monthly Exchange exhibitions
The National Motorcycle Museum was firstly created owing to the work of three friends in 1993 and it is still existent today only 5 km away from the previous location.
In the museum you can find: 250 motorcycles from their origin to nowadays; an exhaustive library of approximately 10.000 original books on the history of motorcycles; old accessories, posters and photographs from the world of motorcycles.
Opening time of the Museum: in Summer open in the afternoon, all year around on the third Sunday of the month or for groups (booking is required)
