A trip to Bagno di Romagna and the path of Gnomes

Bagno di Romagna, an ancient village on the Apennines....... and the story becomes reality ....

Bagno di Romagna is a thermal village located in the valley of the Savio river, in the heart of Romagna, on the border with the Tuscany region. It is about 70/80 kms from the Romagna Riviera to the north and from Arezzo and Florence - to the south.
The small town on the Apennines is made up of medieval alleys, towers, squares, palaces designed by the long Florentine domination.
In the main square, you can admire the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta. The current layout of the church dates back to the Renaissance. The Camaldolese historian Fortunio traces its foundation back to the year 860.
The town is also a starting point for nature walks and trekking in the nearby woods and in the countryside.

In particular, for families with children, there is the Path of the Gnomes.
Access is free and possible all year round, however from July to December, compatibly with the provisions of the DPCM for the health emergency situation, there is a program of paid events dedicated to dreamers and fairy tales believers.
To access it, from the public gardens of Bagno di Romagna, in via Lungosavio, you cross a small bridge over the river Savio and enter the Armina Park, where the path winds its way for about 2 km in the woods, easy to walk.
The Nature Fantasy Path is a path that allows you to know the life and the benign function of small creatures, the gnomes: it stimulates the imagination and allows you to understand and know the value of the environment and nature.
The path is wide, easy, safe, marked and accompanied by bridges, signs with drawings, stone sculptures, animal silhouettes, wooden houses where children can leave messages for their Gnomes friends.

Furthermore, in Bagno di Romagna there are three main cutting-edge spas, equipped with swimming pools with hyperthermal waters (45 °), bicarbonate-alkaline and sulphurous and are indicated for chronic arthropathies, osteo-neuro-articular inflammatory processes, renal lithiasis, all affections of the respiratory tract etc ..
Among the places of interest, we remind you the hamlet of Acquapartita, about 10 km from Bagno di Romagna, located at the edge of a small lake (4 hectares) on the slopes of Mount Còmero, along the SP. 43 which from S. Piero in Bagno leads to Mount Fumaiolo and the Sourses of the Tevere river.
