Every year on 25th April a memorial day is celebrated in Italy to remember the liberation from the Fascist regime and the Nazi occupation.
In Rimini the official ceremony of the 72° anniversary takes place in Parco Cervi at 9.45 am, with the presence of the authorities together with the Armed Forces, delegations of partisan and other armed forces, politicians, trade unions and students in Rimini. After the laying of the wreath at the Resistance Monument, follows a procession with laying of wreaths in other places in Rimini historic centre. The ceremony will be concluded in Piazza Cavour at 11 am with speeches by the Mayor of Rimini, Andrea Gnassi, and Silvia Zoli from the ANPI association in Rimini.
Together with the official ceremony, there are on schedule side events and initiatives.

- Saturday 22nd April at 10 am, c/o the Gambalunga Library, via Gambalunga, 27:
Opening of a photo exhibition 'Scatti di memoria', realized by the provincial committees ANPI of Bologna, Forlì-Cesena, Parma, Piacenza, Reggio Emilia and Rimini with the collaboration of schools in Rimini territory. The exhibition will remain open until Sunday 1st May.
- Sunday 23rd April at Rimini City Museum, Sala del Giudizio, via Tonini, 1 at 5 pm:
Presentation of the book 'Diario riminese dal 1930 al 1960' by Attilio Giusti.
Sports initiatives 25th April:

45° 'Camineda straca', 39 Giorgio Pulazza Trophy, 7° Gianfranco Drudi Trophy and the 36° Liberation Trophy. A run race organized by Polisportiva Viserba Monte.
- at 9.30 am, Piazzale Cinema Settebello (meeting point)
  'Rimininbici', 26th edition of the ecological bike tour organized by Dopolavoro FF.SS and the Volunteer Ecological Guards.
