Traditional meeting place, the Gardens in piazza Ferrari are today an important archaeologic site too as a consequence of the finding of a Roman Domus (during the uprooting of a tree).
In particular the "Surgeon's House" was destroyed by a fire, and now has brought to light many precious finds dating back to the Roman period (vessels, oil-lamps, decorative small statues, furnishings and coins) together with a lot of surgical instruments including scales, measuring cups and vessels for drug preparation. Most of the finds are now kept in the City Museum (Via Tonini).
