The Gardens in Piazza Ferrari

Public garden in the historic centre, with an archaeological site of great importance

Traditional meeting place, the Gardens in piazza Ferrari are today an important archaeologic site too as a consequence of the finding of a Roman Domus (during the uprooting of a tree).
In particular the "Surgeon's House" was destroyed by a fire, and now has brought to light many precious finds dating back to the Roman period (vessels, oil-lamps, decorative small statues, furnishings and coins) together with a lot of surgical instruments including scales, measuring cups and vessels for drug preparation. Most of the finds are now kept in the City Museum (Via Tonini).
In the garden a play ground for children is available
