The month of October, in Rimini, will be one of the richest ever for the cultural offer and for sports enthusiasts. The appointments includ the opening of new museums, exhibitions dedicated to great artists, symphonic concerts, film festivals and, of course, the Tour of Italy:
Cycling enthusiasts are already waiting, October is the month when professional cyclist athletes will pursue their dream of wearing the pink jersey of the Giro d'Italia, and Rimini is ready to welcome them. On 14 October, Rimini will host the "Fellini Stage", the arrival point of the Sant’Elpidio-Rimini leg, a route that will cross the heart of Romagna to cross the finish line on the new waterfront of Rimini.
Do not miss the new PART - (Palazzi dell'arte di Rimini) contemporary art museum site, inaugurated on 24 September. A prestigious exhibition space is housed in the old medieval buildings in Rimini historic center, the thirteenth-century Palazzo dell'Arengo and the fourteenth-century Palazzo del Podestà, which together with Palazzo Garampi, the Galli Theater and the Pescheria overlook Piazza Cavour, the heart of the city. Within this evocative context is housed the San Patrignano Foundation Collection, a collection of works donated by successfull contemporary artists of the Italian and international scene. Foor art lovers, on 17 October at the City Museum, on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of Raffaello Sanzio's death, the City Museum will be opening an exhibition dedicated to the work "Madonna Diotallevi", considered one of his most important early paintings.The painting is a youthful work by Raphael that bears the name of its last private owner, the Marquis Audiface Diotallevi from Rimini. The exhibition will allow a new contextualization of this masterpiece with an original approach, linked to the territory and at the same time focused on education and youth activity of the artist (Info: www.museicomunalirimini.it).
From 16 to 18 October, Rimini will host another important cultural event, the XXII edition of the "Festival del mondo antico"/ "Ancient World Festival". Three days of meetings, round tables, book presentations and guided tours to learn about the past, to understand the present and build the future .
Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 October, the second edition of the Film Festival "The Seventh Art - Cinema and Industry 2020", will take place and will be dedicated to Federico Fellini, on the centenary of his death.
October is also the month of great symphonic music. Rimini has been hosting, for 75 years, one of the most important international classical music events, the “Sagra Musicale Malatestiana”. In October there will be numerous appointments inside the reborn Galli Theater.
