The 'Amintore Galli' theatre of Rimini where the cruelty of war imposed silence and dust for decades raises again its curtain. The first inaugural event is La Cenerentola, by Gioacchino Rossini a semi-scenic performance, with the extraordinary mezzo-soprano world-class opera singer Cecilia Bartoli. She sold 10 million records and won 5 Grammy Awards, while few people know about her paternal Rimini roots. She will revive the relationship between Rimini and its theatre, performing accompanied by the Musiciens du Prince, a Baroque ensemble born in spring 2016 at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo. Together with Cecilia Bartoli, they have been guests of the most important European musical institutions unanimously supported by public and press. The wonderful tale of the girl who after a thousand adventures becomes a princess, helps representing the renaissance of the Rimini theatre.
Thanks to an advanced technological system and an accurate sound diffusion, the show will be broadcast in integral form on a giant screen outside the façade of the theater, with a spectacular scenography signed by Sergio Metalli, to offer everyone the opportunity to attend this great event (from 8pm).
While Cecilia Bartoli makes the music resound in the evocative spaces of the restored 'Galli', the inaugural program will continue with the extraordinary presence of Roberto Bolle. Undisputed star of ballet dancing, Roberto Bolle has electrified audiences all over the world, enamouring even the television audience. He will make his debut on Saturday 3 November at 8 P.M. with an exceptional performance of Roberto Bolle and Friends, the exciting journey into the universe of ballet involving famous artists from all over the world (a show produced by ARTEDANZA srl)
The world-class opera will make its appearance in the Galli Theatre, on 10 and 11 December, thanks to the scenic performance of 'Simon Boccanegra 'by Giuseppe Verdi, directed by Valerij Gergiev. The famous Russian master intended to honour the reopening of Galli Theatre, involving the Mariinsky Theatre and directing the masterpiece of Verdi in the successful staging recently presented in St. Petersburg.
During the two months of opening, together with the three inaugural events, there will be special events.
