A timeless 'pop' myth that crosses the capital of Italian holidays at the highlight of the summer. Al Bano and Romina Power are the stars of 'Ferragosto' in Rimini, a special program realized owing to thousands of operators who work to offer their guests, from day to night, a unique experience: shows, music, meeting opportunities, culture, services.
Ferragosto pop opens with the free entrance concert by Al Bano and Romina Power, the most famous couple of Italian singers who will perform on Friday 10th August in Piazzale Fellini. To continue there are also: the event on the beach “A sea of fire”, "Kennedy Cake Ferragosto Beach Festival”, and 'Mare Nostro' dedicated to the fish of the Adriatic; along with hundreds of parties and events organized by tourist committees, clubs, hotels and so forth, they are some of the proposals that will enrich the hottest days of the summer. Not just music and entertainment, but also culture with the outdoor film festivals at the Augustinian Court and Tiberio CinePicnic, passing through the musical events at the Castle and the appointments of some sections of the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana. The Museum of the City and the Domus del Chirurgo (via L.Tonini, 1 and Piazza Ferrari) will also remain open on the day of mid-August from 10 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. with free admission. An opportunity to visit the eighteenth-century the City Museum, which collects the historical-artistic-archaeological heritage of Rimini, from its origins to the twentieth century. A path that extends to the nearby archaeological site in Piazza Ferrari with the remains of the Domus del Chirurgo, internationally known for the discovery of the richest set of surgical instruments in ancient times.
And, after Ferragosto, the appointments are with the “Meeting for the friendship between the peoples” and the music of “Rimini Park Rock”. Among other events in September not to be missed for all fans, the MotoGp with a week of dedicated events, and at the end of September the return of “Giardini d'autore”.

Music Festival-Sagra Musicale Malatestiana - Baroque metamorphosis
On the edge of affections: Arianna and the female universe of love passion
Chiesa Santa Maria Nuova di Scolca, via Covignano, 257 - Rimini
A mythological and literary figure, to which many poetic, musical and iconographic readings have been linked since ancient times, Arianna represents in the Baroque vocal repertoire the symbol of the woman who lives an existential, emotional, extreme and excessive condition of life. The abandon to which she is condemned becomes the cause of that inconsolable cry that turns necessarily to singing, conveying the whole range of affections so dear to Baroque aesthetics. As an authentic figure of the lament Arianna tells the depth of the female universe with all the strength and actuality of which only the myths are capable.
