Ferragosto: the long mid-summer weekend in Rimini

On the occasion of Ferragosto, the Italian summer bank holiday, Rimini and the Riviera continue to welcome their guests in safety and with the smile that distinguishes this land. Among the scheduled initiatives: music, from rock to opera, and again cinema, theatre performances, cultural events, exhibitions, museums, guided tours, but also entertainment for families and sports activities in many places in the city, including the historic centre and the beach, in a circuit of outdoor arenas. In Piazzale Fellini, music will enliven the Italian craft beer festival, without forgetting the fireworks over the sea. 

And after Ferragosto, the summer appointments continue with the opening of the new Fellini Museum (19 August), the Meeting for friendship among peoples (from 20 to 25 August) and among other September events not to be missed, for all fans the MotoGP appointment (17 - 19 September) and the Italian Bike Festival (10 - 12 September). The 71st Sagra Musicale Malatestiana also kicks off on 8 September with great symphonic concerts, chamber music, the music of thecomposer Amintore Galli, a film production that encounters music and cinema.

Subsonica in concert
Subsonica, a cult group of the Italian electronic rock scene, arrives on the stage of the Arena Lido, to celebrate exactly 25 years since the beginning of its history. Samuel (singer), Max Casacci (producer and guitarist), Boosta (keyboardist), Ninja (drummer), and Pierfunk (bassist), later replaced by Vicio in 1999, influenced by the most experimental musical languages, have revolutionized the scene and created a very recognizable sound, combining electronic music and Italian melody.

Musical interlude by the students of the G. Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro

Curated by Michela Cesarini, art historian and licensed guide.

ON THE BEACH

To animate the beach promenade from Torre Pedrera to Miramare many initiatives of the tourist committees with live music, entertainment and markets. At Rimini harbour it is always possible to take a ride on the Ferris wheel for a memorable "air trip" where you can observe the city and the entire coast, passing through the hinterland and the sea.

On Friday 13 August at Bagno 57 in Marina Centro and on Saturday 14 August at 11.00pm at Bagno 29 in Viserba fireworks shows on the beach will illuminate the sky over the sea.

For beach sports lovers you can participate beach volleyball, footvolley, teqball and table spread, at the beach 47 - 48 - 49 - 50 - 53 - 54 - 55 - 57 - 58 - 59 - 60 - 61 - 62.
