‘Al Meni 2020’, the Circus 8 and 1/2 of flavors, things made by hands and heart, is back to Rimini with Massimo Bottura and other great Italian chefs for the first time in Rimini historic centre

Al Meni, the Circus 8 and 1/2 of flavors, things made by hands and heart, is back for a special edition in the year of Fellini's birth centenary.

From 25th to 27 September the great event, dedicated to food in all its forms, includes starry show cooking, high quality street food and markets dedicated to the excellent products of the area, craftsmanship and creativity.

As usual Massimo Bottura, Chef Patron of Osteria Francescana restaurant and founder of the non-profit organization Food for Soul, will be the protagonist of the scene together with other 12 interpreters of Italian cuisine, who will enhance the best products from Emilia Romagna, the only region in Europe with 44 PDO and PGI products, bringing tastes of magic inside and outside the Circus of flavors.
This year their showcooking are arranged in two large open kitchens in the heart of the old city centre: the former between the marble counters of the Vecchia Pescheria (old fish market), the latter in the circus 8 and ½ that will rise in the Giardino delle Mimose, next to the central Piazza Cavour. The showcooking are on schedule from 12.30pm to 2.30pm and from  pm to 11pm. Saturday schedule - Sunday schedule

In addition there will be the Market of food excellences with the best farmers and agricultural producers of the region and Matrioska, the lab of creatives and designers, who will present their creations in the atmosphere of a street party.
New entry in this seventh edition is the reunion of the starry chefs of Rimini Street Food for a jam session at the 'bar del Grifone' inside the Galli Theatre, dedicated to a special 'piada'. On Friday 25 th September, with: Riccardo Monco from Enoteca Pinchiorri, Franco Pepe from Pepe in grains, Alessandro Roscioli from Roscioli Rome, Moreno Cedroni from the Madonnina del Pescatore in Senigallia and Max Mascia from San Domenico in Imola. La Casina del Bosco, one of the most famous kiosk of the Rimini piadina, will interpret the street food recipes created by great chefs. The local fishermen will also be protagonists in Piazza Cavour with their fish dishes from 19.00 onwards.

Outside the circus, for three days the Augusta Cucina e Cicchetto restaurant (via Di Duccio 30) pays homage to Al Meni with two daily appointments between 5pm and 7pm and between 11am and 10pm., a convivial moment between cooks, wineries, enthusiasts, curious . To celebrate Artusi, on the occasion of the bicentenary of his birth, on Sunday 27 September at 8.30pm the garden of the Augusta restaurant opens its doors to a dinner show with Don Pasta, deejay and gastronomy enthusiast, for the event: 'Happy Birthday Artusi'.

Al Meni will kick off the show cooking with the chef ambassador of Italian cuisine in the world: Massimo Bottura. The spectacle of taste will join the magic of the circus and the acrobats and circus performers of two extraordinary companies, the ancient one by Darix Togni and the more contemporary one by Magda Clan, will give a start, in a crescendo of emotions and a succession of numbers of full of charm and excellent technique, to the show of the chefs.
