Zamagni Art Gallery: Borders

Exhibition by Stefano Ronci

From Saturday 22 April to Saturday 3 June 2023
Exhibitions

Personal exhibition of the artist Stefano Ronci, curated by Ilaria Bignotti. Twenty years after his last exhibition in the Rimini area, Stefano Ronci presents a series of recent works that investigate the concept of border and threshold, closely relating the role of the viewer and demonstrating to be able to carry forward some key themes with coherent poetics: the work on the degrees of the visible through the experimentation of reflective, translucent, diaphanous and transparent materials in the works that belong to the more exquisitely pictorial sphere, such as the Soft Landscapes and the Flat Landscapes; research on the sign understood as a trace, persistent or fleeting, of a passage of man and his memory, in times of stratification and emergence of language, as occurs in large maps; the relationship between the self and the other, the willingness to scrutinize and fathom the mystery and power of communication between people and the environment. The concept of border understood not as a barrier and limit but as a threshold and the possibility of meeting (installation set up in the room below the Gallery).
