From Friday 12 May to Saturday 3 June 2023
Exhibitions
The exhibition is part of the 'The right to write' project, promoted by the Municipality of Rimini and financed by the Emilia Romagna Region, and is created by the social promotion associations Romagna in Fiore and Artai, which have been dealing with the dissemination of urban art and writing disciplines throughout the Romagna area, in collaboration with the social and youth centers of the Rimini area: Grotta Rossa, Casa Pomposa, RM25 and the Millepiedi coop.
The exhibition offers also a selection of writers who have experienced institutional paths such as art galleries - to propose a production strongly linked to the street experience, reinterpreting its elements and inserting them in contexts very different from the original environment.
The artists on display are Eron, Rok, Reoh, Basik, Enko4, TomoZ, Mozoner, Burla22, Jato and Blatta, ten artists who have had an incisive influence on the way of living and creating urban art since the end of the 1980s. in Rimini.
"Exhibition within an exhibition": an entire wall dedicated to preparatory sketches. In fact, over 40 writers were asked to select three sketches, made in different years, which represented their evolutionary path. The result is a huge and unprecedented installation with more than 120 original drawings that retrace more than 30 years of writing in Rimin.
Segnali urbani will be open to the public on Friday 12 May at 6.00 pm.
In conjunction with the finissage of the exhibition, on June 3 at 6.00 pm, there will be the presentation of BOOLIRON, a documentary on the history of hiphop on the Romagna Riviera with a focus on the early Rimini scene.
