After 'The films I saw' and 'The films I wrote', the Cineteca (film library) hosts a new review entitled "The films I inspired" that will investigate the legacy left by Fellini in contemporary cinema. The result of this study is that rather different directors paid tribute to the work of the great master from Rimini.
Here the schedule of the projections of some films inspired by Fellini:
On Tuesday 15 October 'Grand Budapest Hotel' by Wes Anderson
On Tuesday 22 October 'Reality' by Matteo Garrone
On Thurday 31 October, on the anniversary of the director's death, 'La grande bellezza' by Paolo Sorrentino
On Tuesday 5 November: 'Dolor y gloria' by Pedro Almodovar
On Tuesday 12 November: 'Notti Magiche' by Paolo Virzì
On Tuesday 26 November: 'American Graffity' by George Lucas
On Tuesday 3 December: 'Sweet Charity' by Bob Fosse
On Tuesday 17 December: 'Nine' by Bob Marshall
The film review anticipates the celebrations in honour of Fellini in 2020: a long journey, full of events, celebrating the centenary of the director's birth and leading to the inauguration of the Fellini Museum.
