On the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day (April 2) the Rimini Autismo association promotes and organizes “In the Spectre. Stories of families and autism”, photo exhibition and presentation of the homonymous photographic book by Tiziana Selva.
The exhibition, under the patronage of the Municipality of Rimini, takes place at the City Museum from 25 March to 10 April.
The inauguration of the event, with the presentation of the book, is scheduled for Sunday 2 April at 11:00am at the City Museum, Sala degli Arazzi via Tonini 1.
At the end of the presentation, aperitif in the garden of the Museum.
In the afternoon and on 7, 8, 9, 10 April, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, the author and some representatives of Rimini Autism accompany visitors along the exhibition.
From 12 to 28 April, the exhibition continues, housed in Palazzo Soleri c.so d'Augusto 241, headquarters of the San Giuseppe Foundation already home to some important projects in collaboration with Rimini Autismo, such as the summer center "Estate a Palazzo". In these spaces it is possible to visit the exhibition from Monday to Friday from 4.00pm to 6.00pm.
The author, mother of an autistic child, shares with us her story on a journey of discovery, love and knowledge. The book, made up of moments from everyday life, tells the life of families who face autism every day with strength and awareness. A free and sincere visual narration, accompanied by testimonials from parents and professionals, to discover that autism is not a world apart, but is part of the world.
