The initiative 'Opera at Cinema' continues with a recorded broadcast from Bregenz Festival in Austria of Carmen by Bizet. It is an Opéra-comique in four acts, on book by Henri Meilhac and Ludovic Halévy based on the novel by Prosper Mérimée.
The most famous and beloved opera by Bizet is featured in the fascinating staging by Kasper Holtene, embellished by scenaries created by Es Devlin, who has also designed settings to pop stars such as U2, Take That, Pet Shop Boys and Kanye West.
