Exhibitions

Following the last Prime Minister's Decree for the containment of the epidemiological emergency from COVID-19, exhibitions at the City Musuem are suspended until 15 January 2021.

On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of Raffaello Sanzio's death, the City Museum opens an exhibit dedicated to the artist, with the “Madonna Diotallevi”, one of the most important early paintings of the Painter from Urbino. The exhibit will give an insight on the last owner of this painting, before it was transferred to the Berlin museum, Rimini citizen Audiface Diotallevi, Standard Bearer of the city and patron of architect Luigi Poletti for the Galli Theatre.
The exhibition also offers a precious opportunity to discover the fate of the several paintings of the Diotallevi collection, which have landed today in the major international museums.
In the City Museum in Rimini it is also possible to admire the pictorial panels of the fourteenth century Rimini school, such as the Crucifix by Giovanni da Rimini and the Coronation of the Virgin by Giuliano da Rimini.
