Lentè – Lentamente

Personal exhibition by the photographer Giorgio Salvatori on show at the Grand Hotel

From 29th June to 4th October 2015
Street and Exhibition markets

The photo exhibition "Lentè - Lentamente" (Slowly) offers shots by the photographer Giorgio Salvatori, showcasing fascinating and exciting images of Rimini under the snow, revealing a city opposite to the idea of those who know it only through the chronicles of summer magazines.
The goal of Salvatori is to reveal the secrets that the eye or the mind does not grasp immediatly. Photography is an exercise of observation, which not only shows the reality, but also the idea people may have of it.  Photography records images and situations, it may surprise or enhance you, make you happy or sad, anyway it captures emotions fixing images accurately and quickly.
The images of Rimini in the snow, which forces a slow go, show a dreamlike Rimini opposite to the idea usually people have of it:  a merry, solar, pleasurable city. "A Rimini, says Salvatori, that is - for those who live here and  as Fellini perfectly  demonstrated - an intimate place, misty, ethereal, wrapped in a sweet melancholy, but never satisfied, that only those who walk in front of the sea in winter, can understand deep in its soul."
