Thursday 26 and Tuesday 31st October 2017
Cinema and Video

To celebrate the 24th anniversary of Federico Fellini's death, Rimini and the National Film Library organize a day of study about Fellini and his cinema and a projection of the film 'Le notti di Cabiria' (Cabiria's nights) 60 years later.
'Cabiria's nights', released in 1957, received enormous success beyond Italy, throughout Europe and the United States where, on March 26, 1958 at the Hollywood Pantages Theater, won the Oscar as Best Foreign Film. The day of study will be held at the Teatro degli Atti and will start at 9.30 am on Thursday 26 October. It will be divided into 6 sections that will screen different aspects of the film, considering its historic context, within a decade of great importance for Fellini's filmography and more generally for Italian cinematography.
The film will be screened on 31st October, on the 24th anniversary of Fellini's death, at the film Library in Rimini, at 9 pm.
On the occasion of the two events, some publications dedicated to the cinema of Federico Fellini will be distributed.
