The MotoGP meet the celebration of Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta's 600 years of birth

2nd September - 29th October 2017
Exhibitions

The exhibition, opened on the occasion of MotoGP, displays the official motors of the main MotoGP teams, helmets and suits of the champions, studied and designed by Aldo Drudi.
This time they are proposed in a special mode: in a meeting with the celebration of the 600 years of Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta's birth.
The exhibition, curated by Elisa Tosi Brandi and Thessy Schoenholzer Nichols, proposes a comparison of the hi tech suits of the today's motor riders with the armours of the Renaissance knights, along with original documents, analyzes and some important historical considerations together with the most up-to-date proposals in the sector of motor bike sport.
The antique and the contemporary clothes interact with each other, highlighting the beauty of medieval tailoring solutions, which has inspired the fashion and sportswear of the future. Exemples are the leather doublets made by Spidi Sport on models of the fifteenth century, including that by Pandolfo III, and the suits by Aldo Drudi inspired on the armour of the late Middle Ages, from which the designer has taken ideas, creating safety quality suits.
