The exhibition "The journey of Jaakko" opens on Saturday 4 March at 5.00pm in the Sala Sant'Agostino.
The young Finnish restorer, creative and painting enthusiast, had moved to Rimini with his family as a child, and in June 2001 he was the victim of a road accident, killed by two cars racing each other along the seafront.
Mother Tea and friends remember him with this exhibition and with a meeting held on Thursday 9 March, 6.00pm, at the cinema Tiberio, entitled “Jaakko's journey. Mothers who transform loss into a project of love".
Speakers at the conference Terttu (Tea) Kaikkonen Marangoni, mother of Jaakko; Alessandro Giovanardi, historian and art critic; Arianna Franchi, psychologist and psychotherapist; Mariangela Maestri, president of the association "Le ali di Chiara"; some friends of Jaakko. Moderator Gigliola Ricci.
The exhibition "The journey of Jaakko" opens until Sunday 12 March, every day, 4.00pm-7.00pm with free admission.
The project, promoted by Acli Arte e Spettacolo di Rimini, the provincial Acli of Rimini and the Acli Rimini Women's Coordination, adheres to the calendar of 8 March initiatives of the Casa delle Donne and the Rimini Women's Network and is sponsored by the Municipality of Rimini.
