The crimes of the Nazi regime and the Shoah is the theme of the "lectio magistralis" by Dieter Pohl, Alpen-Adria University, Klagenfurt, with the participation of the Mémorial de la Shoah in Paris.
The speech will concern the topic of Nazi crimes by raising crucial questions: the definition of victims' groups, co-responsibility for the crimes committed by Hitler's allied states, the singular character of Nazi violence and the nature of its relationship to the crimes of the Stalin regime .
Only by keeping together the peculiar and universal elements of the Nazi crimes, it is possible to understand all the complexity of the phenomenon.
