The exhibition 'Geologie e Planimetrie' by Valentino Montanari, at the Galleria dell'Immagine, in the historical Palazzo Gambalunga, is presented in the catalog by prof. Massimo Pulini and edited by Gianni Scarpellini. It consists of mosaic works and sculptures made over the last ten years, with particular attention to the latest works inspired by the poetic schemes of Dante Alighieri's "Divine Comedy" and to the instruments of contemporary communication.

Valentino Montanari lives and works in Bagnacavallo, Ravenna. His artistic activity, which met the interest of art critics, private collectors and directors of contemporary art museums, includes nearly two hundred collective and personal exhibitions, held in various Italian, European, Brazilian and Australian cities.

He has created and signed public art works. He has always been active in the arts with various expressive techniques: painting, mosaic, sculpture, engraving and ceramics. He is also an art director of numerous books and magazines, set designer and musician; he was a teacher at secondary and high schools and at the Fine Arts Academy.
He was coordinator and head of the "Tessellae" Research and Experimentation Center for about twenty years. He is also founder, manager and professor of the S.I.S.A.M. - International School of Art Studies for Mosaic and Fresco.
Filmmaker of numerous educational video-documentaries. Various public awards of which the last one "International Prize Colosseum" award - Palace Brancaccio  May 20th 2016 - Rome.
Interested in pedagogical nature problems, he deepened the issues related on the language of the photographic and filmic image, the psychological aspects of childish drawing and hypertextuality, publishing numerous film works and documentations visible on YOUTUBE. He takes updating courses for elementary school’s teachers. He has participated and coordinated numerous Europeans projects for the artistic heritage". Among the scholars who appreciated his works, we mention: Massimo Pulini, Raffaele De Grada, Annamaria Lorusso Bolettieri, Anna Russano Cotrone, Luigina Bortolatto, Giorgio Segato, Tommaso Paloscia, Francesco Loperfido, Ivan Simonini, Maria Gloria Fazia, Roberto Iacovissi, Benvenuto Guerra, Orlando Piraccini, Giulio Guberti, Emidio Di Carlo ... and many others.
Present at the 50th Venice Biennale of Art 2003 - Sogni e Conflitti the Dictator of the Spectator - In the ambit of the project: "Brain Academy Apartment".
