DANTE IN COMICS: a tribute to Dante Alighieri and his “Divine Comedy”.
On the occasion of the 750 years from Dante’s birth (Florence 1265), the Festival proposes a great opportunity to see works of many artists and illustrators that in years have drawn inspiration from the Divine Comedy and that have challenged their talents with the origins of the universe and the characters of the journey in the afterlife worlds described by Dante.
There are more than 100 works coming from all over the world on display. A huge and original exhibition of “historic” pieces which witness that the relation between comics and the great poet Dante is still alive.
The exhibition’s lively and specific iconographic style inspired by the Divine Comedy shows that Dante’s flawless skill to communicate to men and women, young people and adults, will always be alive and timeless

FAVOLE DI VENEZIA
Exhibition of original drawings of authors who collaborated with Hugo Pratt.
Venezia – Rimini – 2015
Ala Moderna. Rimini. 11th-26th July 2015
Hugo Pratt - Rimini and Venice: the two Italian cities have had a special influence on his life. The first was his town of origin, then he moved to Venice where he spent his childhood. Afterwards he lived in distant places in the world. The destiny has always been significant in the life of this great author. Culture, passion and events have deeply influenced Pratt’s narrative philosophy, both in his literal and graphic context. Hugo is a voyager since his childhood and he move continuously during his life, always along with his pencils, pens, watercolors and whatever could be useful to sketch pictures. His graphic notes become stories and characters, men and women of his narratives. Taking advantage of his charm and his huge culture, in the fact he spoke many foreign languages, Hugo becomes a heartbreaker with the fascinating “partnership in crime” of Corto Maltese, the prince among his characters, famous even worldwide.
Venice is paying him a tribute twenty years after his death with an exhibition of sketches, drawings, boards and works that commemorate him through the artistic memory of authors that have cooperated with him. The exhibition has been set up in Mestre until 14th June and now it arrives in Rimini.

NADIR QUINTO - The word in the sign (11th to 26th July 2015)
The reign of Nadir is made of dreams and magic, and is easy to understand how the painter Nadir became soon the Wiz Stylist, offering his art to the pioneers of publishing, first in Italy and then in Europe. And it is easy to understand how Nadir met on his way a fairy, who shared with him not only the married life, but also professional – his wife Enza. Their relationship has created the most beautiful pages of Italian comics, drawn by him and narrated by her.
