The sculptor Aldo Rontini works and lives in Faenza. His art works are dedicated to the naked body in a rest position. The finish of a shaped sculpture with bare hands is bound to differ from that carved with the use of a hammer and chisel. But some of the works by Rontini seem to have shadows of marble even when they are made by clay or shaped in chalk. The epidermis of the sculptures, created with a refined plastic process, is an example of transformation. From the thighs sprout long roots and from a rib it is raising a sail of a drapery, as the wind and waves. It is thus, between metaphor and metamorphosis, that unfolds the aesthetic and sensual art by Aldo Rontini.
