The review ‘Concerts around the '68' are going on with this concert that proposes one of the most “engaged” currents of music in the 68’s, in particular the one generated from the “folk music revival” movement, born in America in the Thirties, the years of New Deal and folksingers like Woody Guthrie.
In the Sixties, here in Italy, they decided to create a “new song” in the pursuit of antagonistic values and of social renewal ones, rediscovering songs about political and social struggle and those of urban and peasant tradition of different regions in Italy. Linked at a national level to the experience of the Italian New Canzoniere, formed in the 1962, this movement, in Rimini, gave birth to some singers, practicing from 1968 to the end of the Seventies, and to the group of “Uva Grisa”. From the following decade, the group has set out on a journey through the territory’s sources.
