It is a journey through places, traditions and agricultural products from the Emilia-Romagna region departing from Rimini to reach the Expo in Milan.
There are three routes proposed in this a-month-long- journey: the waterway of the Adriatic Sea and the Po River; the land route along the Via Emilia; the way in the Parks through the Apennines. A journey through landscapes, territories, productions all equally representative of the most genuine tradition of Emilia-Romagna.
The trails start right from Rimini on August 18th to get to Piacenza on September 18th.
The trip is accompanied by 8 stages of ‘Tramonto diVino’ (Sunset Tasting) along the Via Emilia, the taste tour that promotes the culinary excellences and the best wines of the region, drawn by the guide 'Emilia Romagna to Drink and Eat' just printed in 2015, by the finger food prepared by the star chefs of Emilia Romagna, and by a host of other not-to-be-missed initiatives.
The kick off of the 'route of taste' will be with a big party in Rimini, with the best of street food, the DOC products by farmers in the Emilia Romagna region, street fish by the local fishermen, more than 100 labels of wines in “Tramonto DiVino”, an agrarian conference and DJ sets – all together in an extraordinary event of entertainment, tastings and purchase of the top street food from Emilia Romagna.
The event takes place along the pier of Rimini harbour, while a 'Star Dinner' is proposed on board the motorship “Principessa” which allow guests to dine in a unique atmosphere, tasting the local products created by the great chefs of Chef to Chef - Gian Paolo Raschi, Raffaele Liuzzi, Stefano Ciotti and Massimo Spigaroli. > from 7.30 pm to midnight - The street food by the chefs
The chefs of CheftoChef , Isa Mazzocchi (La Palta - Borgonovo), Igles Corelli (Atman, Lamporecchio), Fabio Rossi (Vite - Coriano) and Franco Aliberti (Evviva - Riccione) will prepare and serve ‘tastings of author’, an interpretation of the pasta in Emilia-Romagna accompanied with wines of “Tramonto DiVino”, Sunset Tastings.

A wine route with hundreds of regional wine labels to taste at the stands set up by sommeliers of AIS, the Italian Sommelier Association.

> from 7.30 pm to midnight - 40 producers ‘on tour’ on special tricycles
The best products of Emilia Romagna will be served and described by the producers on board itinerant 'tricycles'.

> from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm - Comizio agrario (agrarian conference)
To tell and speak about the rich agricultural land will be the writer Piero Meldini, the Mayor of Rimini, Andrea Gnassi, and Marco Amati from the Sapigni oil mill.

The fishermen in Rimini will leave their fishing vessels to prepare fried fish and fish skewers according to ancient traditions.
