Ecomondo. The green technology expo in Rimini from 7 to 10 November

International Fair of Material and Energy Recovery and Sustainable Development

From Tuesday 7 to Friday 10 November 2023
Trade Fairs, Expositions

Reference event in Europe for technological and industrial innovation, Ecomondo is a permanent laboratory of ideas, solutions and opportunities.
An international fair with an innovative format that combines all sectors of the circular economy in a single platform: from the recovery of materials and energy to sustainable development.
The event helps companies become world leaders in innovation, supporting the development of an innovative and sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem.
It promotes networking by putting companies in contact with the most qualified national and international buyers and works all year round with a profiled community and with the top experts of the circular economy.
It supports the ecological transition by offering a broad program of conferences, workshops and seminars aimed at presenting evidence and new national and international trends linked to the circular economy in the various supply chains, from construction to packaging, from electronics to the automotive industry.
This will be the largest edition ever with more than 1,500 exhibiting brands and over 300 buyers with highly qualified profiles. The buyers will be arriving from Europe, North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Canada, the United States and India. Rimini will also be attended by over 30 international delegations of professional operators representing industrial associations, government bodies, clusters, chambers of commerce as well as institutional representatives from North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Europe and Eastern Europe. The show will feature about 150 events over the four days of the event, 65 of which will include scientific, economic policy, and technical conferences and workshops, organised by the Technical Scientific Committee in collaboration with the event´s main institutional and technical partners, together with the international board of experts from the European Commission, OECD, FAO, UfM, EEA and ISWA.
Once again this year, Ecomondo will be opened by the States General of the Green Economy, organised by the Sustainable Development Foundation and promoted by the National Council of 65 green economy company organisations in Italy, in collaboration with the Ministry for the Environment and Energy Security.
Ecomondo features six thematic macro-areas: Waste as Resource, Sites & Soil Restoration, Circular & Regenerative Bio-economy, Bio-Energy & Agroecology, Water Cycle & Blue Economy, and Environmental Monitoring & Control.
This year, there will be four new exhibition areas specifically for textiles, paper, innovation with the start-up area and the green jobs & skills desk, and a large space for the blue economy, from fishing and aquaculture, to the regeneration of ports and coastlines and seawater desalination technologies.
Finally, Ecomondo 2023 will host the biennial SAL.VE. exhibition, featuring the main brands of electric vehicles for ecological waste collection and disposal services and urban refuse collection and an area for test drives.
