The Associazione I Cammini di Francesco in Emilia Romagna proposes an itinerary of Nativity scenes along the Saint Francis Walk from Rimini to La Verna. Along the route, at this time of the year, one can encounter nativity scenes on display in convents, fortresses, churches; ancient and modern; made by master crib-makers, nuns and friars, works of art or simple creations made by children. All to celebrate the birth of the Child of Bethlehem, as St Francis called him. An occasion also to celebrate the Saint who gave origin to the crib tradition in 1223.
