Befana Borgo Run

The World's Longest New Year's celebrations: Family Walk in Borgo San Giuliano on Epiphany Day

Saturday 6 January 2024
Sports and Games

La Befana arrives ... running, in Borgo San Giuliano, and proposes a nice reinterpretation of the traditional Befana, encouraging a little physical activity, to be shared with the whole family, with a charitable purpose.
The route winds its way through the ancient heart of Borgo San Giuliano among the murals, alleyways and small squares of the ancient village, where you will meet friendly witches who give passers-by small sweets to thank them for their visit.
To participate, all you need to do is dress comfortably and turn up for registration on the morning of 6 January (from 10.30 a.m.) at the 'Archaeological Garden' on Viale Tiberio (opposite house number 11).
At registration you will receive a special stocking handmade by the village witches. The entire proceeds from registration will be donated to charity.
At the end of the event, there will be prizes offered by the Borgo San Giuliano traders, which will be drawn at random among all those registered, and refreshments will be offered at the Pasticceria Gardini & Raimondi.
Event organised by Società de Borg aps in cooperation with Rimini Marathon, Grip Dimension and the Borgo Merchants Association.
