'Antico/Presente - The Ancient World Festival

Boundaries, margins, openings - XXVI edition

from Wednesday 23 to Saturday 26 October 2024
Multiple Events

The cultural series of lectures, meetings, book presentations and guided tours involving reading the past to understand the present and build a more conscious future is back again this year.
This year's theme, ‘Boundaries, Margins, Openings’, provides an opportunity for dialogue and reflection on a cardinal concept that has shaped civilisation, society and thought, both in the past and present. The exploration of physical, cultural and conceptual borders from the ancient world up to modernity as a common thread linking the voices of distinguished scholars and intellectuals, some of the leading experts in history, archaeology, art and politics.
Alongside the initiatives for adults, there will be events for children and young people with the Piccolo Mondo Antico Festival. All in the name of creativity and fun, in a narrative that cannot be separated from experience and multi-sensorial involvement.
