It is the oldest and most prestigious event in the Rimini area. In its more than 60 editions it has hosted the greatest musicians in the world including Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, Riccardo Chailly, Mstislav Rostropovich, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Renata Tebaldi, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Zubin Metha, Georges Pretre, Lorin Maazel, Kurt Masur, Valery Gergiev, Neville Marriner, James Conlon, Myung-Whun Chung.
In 2018 the program of the Symphonic Concerts of the Sagra is included among the great inaugural events of the new Galli Theater which include:
November 21st and 25th: the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, conductor Michele Mariotti
November 30th and December 1st: Gala Verdi - Wagner with the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Regio of Turin, conductor Manlio Benzi
December 3rd and 4th: 'Pas de deux for Toes and Fingers' with the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra, Svetlana Zakharova and Vadim Repin on the violin.
In recent years, the event has expanded with several side projects where music is intertwined with other arts. In summer with the Baroque Metamorphoses (August) and in autumn with The Sunday Concerts.
